CO-FOUNDERS · EXPEDITION LEADERS

Eric and Amber Fies co-founded North Star through a shared passion for exploration. Eric brings decades of leadership, expedition planning, and outdoor instruction. Amber is an accomplished outdoorswoman, expedition leader, and photographer who has led three caving expeditions to Kashmir and explored wild places across the globe.

Together, they plan and lead expeditions, assemble capable teams, manage risk, and teach practical outdoor skills and fieldcraft—with respect for the places and people encountered along the way.
